More than 150 RV campgrounds in Maine offer full hook ups, and many others provide a wide range of services. You'll run out of time before you ever run out of places to explore.
Whatever kind of camping interests you, you'll find it in Maine. The state's RV parks have kept with the times, providing everything from simple utilities to WI-FI and cable TV. You can find luxury camping resorts with pools, boat rentals, full calendars of activities or simply drive up to a site at a place like Blackwoods in Acadia or Cobscook Bay State Park for a quiet getaway. You can stay at a bustling campground in Greater Portland, with full access to the shopping of Freeport and the restaurants of Forest City, or drive up into the woods north of Millinocket and camp alongside the Golden Road with moose and loons for your neighbors. The choice is yours.
The RV camping season tends to kick off in May – be at its busiest during July, August, and September – and cool down in early October. Some resorts fill quickly so be planning ahead.
