Snowmobiling fun and excitement in February
The freedom and fun of snowmobiling in Maine ramps up in February with festivals and competitions around the state.
The International Snowmobilers Festival in Madawaska, Maine, and Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, takes place February 6-8. Northern Maine’s largest snowmobile event has riding on more than 600 miles of trails, drag races, a dance with live music, spaghetti dinner and lots of prizes.
Snowmobile events for all ages will happen during the Moosehead Lake Snofest February 13-20 in Greenville. The Moosehead Riders Snowmobile Club will host a guided scenic ride and lunch where children eat for free. There will also be a chili and chowder cook-off at the Riders clubhouse, a free cookout and bonfire, and a snowmobile parade on the lake shore.
The Lincoln Snowhounds 10th Annual Sno-Cross Races take place February 28 and March 1. Watch more than 100 professional and amateur competitors tackle the jumps and bumps of a sno-cross course in the beautiful Lincoln Lakes region of eastern Maine.
