Bayview

The entrance to Bayview lies at the intersection of Route 9 and Bayview Rd. in Saco, where there is a small parking lot. Beyond the dunes and sea grass is the beach, a small section of sand that’s part of an amazing 7-mile continuous expanse of beach that curves around Saco Bay from Pine Point in the north to Camp Ellis in the south. This incredible oceanside panorama is in full view from Bayview, where there is a wide stretch of sand perfect for sunbathing, swimming and beachcombing. There are no facilities available at Bayview. Dogs on leash are allowed anytime.  

Take in the beach resort town of Old Orchard Beach and enjoy the fun arcades and exciting amusement rides, the wide variety of delicious beach foods and the many shops along Beach Street.  For lots more food, shopping and entertainment, a visit to The Pier on the beach is a must!  At nearby Ocean Park, take a hike and explore the salt marsh ecosystem protected by the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge.
