Biddeford Pool Beach
Biddeford Pool Beach in Biddeford lies at the eastern end of a scenic two-mile long stretch of sandy beach that connects with Fortunes Rocks Beach to the west. This continuous expanse of sand allows for plenty of room to relax and play in the sand, great swimming in the waves, and lots of beach to explore on foot. The beach is bordered by dunes and sea grass, and just to the north, the rocky point at Biddeford Pool juts out into the ocean. This city-owned public beach offers plenty of parking, restrooms, bathhouses for changing, benches for picnicking, and there are lifeguards on duty. Parking is by permit only, available from Biddeford City Hall, City Clerk’s office. This a popular spot for wave sports such as surfing, bodyboarding, skimboarding and surf kayaking. Biddeford Pool, a tidal lagoon just north of the beach, is popular with sea kayakers.
