Look up to the sky and watch hawks, ospreys and eagles soar lazily on the thermal air currents. And be sure to listen for the unmistakable wild call of the loon, the quintessential sign of the Maine wilderness.
Stow your paddle now and then and cast your fishing rod for brook and lake trout, bass and pickerel. Raise your camera for photographs of the amazing scenery of blue waters and dark green forests, maybe catch that moose feeding among the weeds, or frame the many colorful wildflowers found along shore.

Guided lake kayaking tours for a half day or full day are a great way for the entire family to try the sport. Tour packages come with kayaks and all the gear, shuttle and lunch. Guides happily offer instruction on paddling techniques and will most certainly entertain you en route with their rich knowledge of the local area they call home.
