Lagrange - Medford Trail

The tiny towns of LaGrange (pop. 750) and Medford (pop. 231) mark the beginning and end of this twelve-mile trail through Piscataquis County. South of Millinocket, these two towns were once linked by the old Bangor and Aroostook Rail Line, its brightly painted box cars flashing through the woodlands here. The rail bed now serves as the base for this dirt and gravel trail, which threads through forest, past fields, and right through the center of quiet Medford.
