Rangeley Lake State Park

Rangeley Lake State Park is one of the most beautiful state parks in Maine. Looking out at the western mountains, the state park itself consists of nearly 900 acres surrounding the 10-square mile body of water known as Rangeley Lake.

In the winter, snowmobilers and snowshoers can be found on the many weaving trails in and around the park. In the warmer months, some of the best Maine freshwater fishing can be found on Rangeley Lake. Given its land-locked status, the lake is full of salmon and trout which make it a draw for fishermen. Maine freshwater fishing can be enjoyed in the Rangeley Lake State Park from mid-May through September 30th in most area waters.

Hikers and anglers alike are encouraged to take advantage of the 50 campsites located in the park; although the number of sites is on the small side, Rangeley Lake State Park offers plenty of amenities including hot showers, concrete boat launches with floats, and picnic areas.

Rangeley Lake State Park is located in the western part of Maine and the nearby town of Rangeley offers plenty of community events year-round. Saddleback Mountain is also a major attraction. Rangeley Lake State Park can be enjoyed in all four seasons and truly offers something for everyone.
