Fall Foliage in the North Maine Woods is renowned for its spectacular color. Here is a chance for all you amateur photographers to test out your skills. This program is designed to get the photographer to some of the best scenic places in AMC's Lands and give them time to learn the different settings on their camera. The first evening after a hearty meal there will be an evening programming on photographing scenery and the group will go over the plan for the next day's shoots. Early morning before breakfast the group will walk down to First Pond and try to capture the golden light of morning by the water. After breakfast participants will hike Gulf Hagas's Stair Falls to shoot the beautiful pastel colors along with waterfalls. In the afternoon the group will drive to several scenic spots like Silver Lake and the West Branch of the Pleasant River for an opportunity to shoot in the late afternoon light. That evening after dinner there will be an evening program where everyone will get an opportunity to share their best shots of the day. Bring a bathing suit, as the sauna may be available if the weather is cold enough. Activities planned for adults and children age 10 and up. Activity level: Easy to moderate. Rates include lodging, meals, guided activities and instruction, and evening programs.
