What do you think of when you think of Maine; lobster, moose, blueberries, lighthouses? Many people also think of puffins...and some very lucky guests have even seen them during a trip on aboard the Isaac H. Evans. We know where they nest, we just don't often make it there because of the wind direction. So we've partnered with Monhegan Boat Line to get you there!
Join us for the July 21st, 6- night cruise and we will sail to Port Clyde and get you ashore to board the Elizabeth Ann for your 2 1/2 hour excursion to Eastern Egg Rock where you will see an Atlantic Puffin nesting site and learn about Project Puffin. You will return to the Evans and we'll set sail once again to explore more of Penobscot Bay and the surrounding area!
Each day aboard the Evans you will enjoy participating in the sailing of the vessel as well as relaxing as we meander among hundreds of pristine islands. You'll indulge in three hearty meals a day, one of which will be a lobster bake on the beach of an uninhabited island. Our appetites are strong after a day of sailing and the island offers everyone a chance stretch their legs and evening breezes invite gathering around the campfire. Each evening we will anchor in a quiet cove or peaceful harbor where you can stargaze from the deck or go exploring in one of our row boats.
Windjamming is the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation . . . join us!
