Group Tours

Dear Tour Operator/Group Leader,

Thank you for your interest in Maine as a group destination. New England’s largest state has a great deal to offer your groups: from our renowned coastline to our pristine lakes, forests, and mountains.

With thousands of miles of coastline, Maine is steeped in more than two hundred years of maritime history. Many coastal cruises can give your group a first-hand look at how generations of Mainers made their living hauling traps and fishing the open waters of the Atlantic.

Maine’s diverse coastline starts with the broad sandy beaches in the south, transforming into a rockbound coast dotted with more than 60 lighthouses as you head north and east. Along the way, you’ll find an interesting assortment of historical and cultural attractions.

Beyond the coast is a part of Maine that relies upon the forests, rivers, mountains and lakes to sustain historic communities. Groups may embark upon a moose safari on picturesque lakes, run the rapids in a whitewater raft, schuss down world-class ski slopes, or join a guided snowmobile tour on seemingly endless miles of trails.

And let us not forget the stunning colors that paint the mountainsides every fall. Around every bend in the road, the countryside is ablaze in reds, oranges, and yellows. This is a great time to sample fresh apple cider and celebrate the annual harvests with products that come from a multitude of Maine family farms.

I’m hopeful that this online group travel planner will help you plan your trips to Maine, but if at any time you would like more information, please contact me at (207) 624-9808 or groups@visitmaine.com.

Sincerely,

Group Tour Manager
