Internal Department and Intra-Agency Use
At MOT’s discretion, beyond fulfilling the transaction for which the Information was supplied, MOT may use the Information for aggregate analysis for Department purposes. At MOT’s discretion, Information may from time to time be shared within the Department of Economic & Community Development, of which the MOT is a part, for MOT purposes.
At MOT’s discretion, Information may be supplied to MOT contractors for MOT purposes.
Maine Tourism Entities
Name, Physical mailing addresses (Street or PO Box, City, State, Postal Code, and Country) and survey data such as season of interest, month of interest, activities of interest and source of request, entered by visitors into this web site may be provided to MOT’s tourism related partners for follow-up mailing of vacation planning information only. Unless required by law, MOT will not distribute visitor’s e-mail addresses or telephone numbers to any outside marketing services or organizations. A MOT representative may contact you as part of MOT’s on-going customer service evaluation; or, when you have expressed an interest in a particular service offered by MOT. A MOT representative may also contact you via email with announcements regarding new features on this Website, marketing surveys, or special offers that match your interests. All MOT E-messages offer an address to opt out of any further mailings.
MOT intends that the Information provided through this process will be utilized by the receiving entities described above, for purposes designed to promote Maine as a travel destination.
MOT retains the right to cease sending Information through this process to any and all of the receiving entities described in section above at any time whether for cause or convenience.
MOT is not responsible for the distribution policies of its partners.
