Coast Guard authorities razed the keeper's house and outbuildings, but the stone tower and a pyramidal bell tower still stand. It can be seen from the south end of Sylvester Cove on Deer Island or via mailboat cruise. Eagle Island Light was built in 1839. Get your lighthouse passport stamped at Guided Island Tours, Inn on the Harbor and Island Heritage Trust.
