Egg Rock

Squat and square with the black nub of a light on top, this is said to be the most homely lighthouse on the Maine coast. It can be viewed from the Schooner Head parking lot, just off Park Loop Road, in the Bar Harbor section of Acadia National Park or by boat tour. Egg Rock Light Station was built in 1875.
