West Quoddy Light

The West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and Visitors Center are in Quoddy Head State Park at the easternmost point of land in the continental U.S.A. Erected in 1808 and rebuilt in 1858, its distinctive tower is painted in red and white horizontal stripes. Handicap Parking and wheelchair accessible. West Quoddy Light is also part of the Lights Across the Border Lighthouse Challenge (See 5 lighthouses in one day!). Check under events for more details. The light is also a U.S. Lighthouse Society Passport Participant - Get your lighthouse passport stamped at the West Quoddy Visitors Center, at West Quoddy Gifts or by To and Fro Water Taxi (from the water).
