Goose Rocks Lighthouse

A killer ledge lies just below the surface of the water in the Fox Islands Thoroughfare that passes between North Haven and Vinalhaven. This "spark plug-style" light marks the spot, warning mariners to beware. It's now automated and solar-powered, but it still serves the same function.

Goose Rocks Lighthouse was built in 1890.
