Saddleback Ledge

This barren rock heap sits between Isle au Haut and Vinalhaven, warning mariners to beware. Storms continually scour the island and long ago washed away the keeper's house and outbuildings. Only the conical stone tower still stands.

Saddleback Ledge Light Station was built in 1839.
