Ram Island Ledge

This relatively recently-built station marks a jagged rock pile that caused many shipwrecks before the cylindrical, granite light was erected. It can be seen from Fort Williams State Park, off Shore Road in Cape Elizabeth. Ram Island Ledge Light Station was built in 1905.
