Angela C.’s Story

These pictures were taken during my family's 2010 vacation to Moosehead Lake in Greenville, Maine. For as long as I can remember my Mom has been saying she wants to see a moose in the wild. After doing some research I found Greenvlle, Maine. A place where the moose outnumber the people! This sounded like the perfect place for a relaxing family vacation. We rented an adorable cabin right on Moosehead Lake. We spent most of our days there either on our boat or in our kayaks. In the early evening we would drive to the moose sighting hot spots in hopes of seeing a moose. My mothers dream finally came true. We were all so excited to see our first moose and that night we got to see 3 of them! My family an I loved Greenville Maine so much that we have been talking about a possible move to there from NJ. In the meantime, we can not wait to pack up our boat and kayaks and head back out there again this summer! Unfortunately our moose pictures came out dark, but here are some pictures of Moosehead Lake. The views along this lake are breath taking and evenings on this lake are as relaxing as it gets! At night you can sit on the deck over looking the water and look up at a black sky completely blanketed with stars! A sight we never see living in an overly developed area. In the distance you can hear the sounds of loons and moose, a sound I miss so much.
