Coast Guard authorities razed the keeper's house and outbuildings, but the stone tower and a pyramidal bell tower still stand. It can be viewed from shore at the end of Dunham Point road, by boat with Guided Island Tours and by air with Penobscot Island Air.
Eagle Island Light was built in 1839.
