Description
This museum, the longtime home of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, tells the story of Chamberlain's life as scholar (Bowdoin College professor and president), soldier (Civil War general who led the 20th Maine at the Battle of Gettysburg), and statesman (governor of Maine). The museum includes a collection of Chamberlain artifacts from the Civil War.
