Aroostook State Park bears the distinct honor of being Maine's first state park. The Park is the ideal starting point for discovering Aroostook County.

It offers camping, showerhouse, kitchen shelter, large group camping area, picnic area, swim area with no lifeguard, lake stocked with Brook Trout for fishing, boat lauching area, canoe and paddle boat rentals, hiking trails to the top of Quaggy Jo Mountain offering a rewarding view of the local area, great birding area, groomed cross- country ski and snowshoe trails in the winter, winter camping, and groomed snowmobile trails go through the Park. Open all year, fee charged, season passes availible.
