Description
Museum L-A, located at 35 Canal Street in the historic Bates Mill #1, tells the story of work and community in the "Twin Cities" of Lewiston and Auburn. Discover the rich heritage of labor, industrial commitment, community expansion and cultural influences through engaging exhibits and special programs encouraging family fun and learning across generations. Current activities focus on the local textile, shoe and brickmaking industries in Lewiston and Auburn and the people who worked in them. Explore the expanded Museum Shop that offers gifts ranging from the historical to the whimsical. Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
