The American Lighthouse Foundation's Lighthouse Interpretive Center & Gift Shop, located at 464 Main Street in historic downtown Rockland, offers visitors the opportunity to learn where they can visit, climb or even spend the night at a lighthouse. While planning your personal Maine lighthouse adventure, enjoy shopping in the gift shop featuring many unique lighthouse and nautical themed items. The American Lighthouse Foundation (ALF) is a non-profit organization restoring & managing 23 historic lighthouses throughout New England. ALF lighthouse sites open to the public in Maine include: Wood Island, Pemaquid Point, Owls Head, Rockland Breakwater and Little River. Interpretive Center Open Mon.-Sat. 10-4. Free admission.
