Description

The activity of drawing sharpens your awareness and powers of observation. We will work in sketchbook format, drawing with watercolor pencils and paints and black white media. Artists Bruce Bulger, Hub White and Doug Wilson, from Deer Isle, Maine, have been passionate about drawing and teaching drawing throughout their professional lives. Each will share their individual approaches to drawing as you explore the environs of Gorman Chairback Lodge on foot and by canoe. Emphasis will be placed on quickly capturing the essence of place and object. Expect frequent brief demos of various approaches to sketching and drawing. Beginners are welcome! Activities planned for adults and children age 9 and older. Activity level: Easy. Rates include lodging, meals, guided activities and instruction. Higher rates apply for private cabins.
