Description

Come spend quality time with your kids or grandkids deep in the wilderness of AMC's Maine Woods at Gorman Chairback Lodge and Cabins. Learn to paddle a canoe, fly fish, and identify frogs, birds, other wildlife, and their tracks. Watch the eagles soar and hike to beautiful remote waterfalls, among many other activities available. This program will give its participants a deeper appreciation and understanding of the forest, lakes, rivers, and wildlife that is AMC's Maine Woods. Our expert staff will create an experience that will widen one's senses of the wilderness around them. Each child will become an AMC Junior Naturalist with a certificate and patch to prove it. There will be one evening set aside as an adult evening social while the kids go out to cook their dinner over a camp fire. There will be plenty of time to relax with your family in addition to participating in the great schedule of programs. Activities planned for children age 5 and up. Rates include lodging, meals, guided activities, and an AMC water bottle. Higher rates apply for private cabins.
