You can choose from among 13 lakes in Lincoln—collectively known as "the Lincoln lakes"—to go fishing, boating or paddling. You can also fish for smallmouth bass or go boating along the Penobscot River, which runs through Lincoln. While you're on the river, you may be able to spot loons, ducks, bald eagles, turtles, otters or beavers. You can also hunt for black bear, whitetail deer or moose. Ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular winter activities. In July, you can attend the Homecoming Festival in Lincoln, which includes a parade down Main Street, fireworks, live music, a 5K run/walk, a craft fair, and activities and games for children.
