Alpine Ski Areas

• Big Squaw Mountain

  Big Squaw offers a vertical drop of 1,750 feet and 70% snowmaking. Many trails feature views of nearby Moosehead Lake. The base lodge hotel offers an indoor pool.

• Big Rock Ski Area

  Big Rock offers a 980-foot vertical drop and 65% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school and half-day tickets are available.

• Black Mountain

  Black Mountain features a 470-foot vertical drop and 75% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school and half-day tickets are available. Black Mountain hosts a great USSA race series and is famous for producing world-class skiers and jumpers.

• Camden Snowbowl

  The Camden Snowbowl features a 950-foot vertical and 45% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school, rentals and half-day tickets are available. This mountain is situated on the coast; views of the ocean are visible from several trails. Additional features include a tubing hill and a 400-foot toboggan chute.

• Eaton Mountain

  Eaton Mountain features a 622-foot vertical and 100% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school, half-day tickets, rentals and a snowboard park are available. This is a popular ski team training site.

• Lonesome Pine Trails

  Lonesome Pine Trails offers a 400-foot vertical, night skiing, rentals, lessons, a half-pipe, terrain park and glade skiing.

• Lost Valley

  Lost Valley offers a 240-foot vertical and 100% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school, rentals, hourly tickets and a snowboard park are available.

• Mt. Abram

  Mt. Abram offers a 1,150-foot vertical and 85% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school, ski shop, rentals, half-day tickets, a tubing park and lodging are available.

• Mt. Jefferson Ski Area

  Mt. Jefferson offers a 432-foot vertical as well as night skiing, ski school and rentals.

• New Hermon Mountain

  New Hermon Mountain offers a 350-foot vertical and 100% snowmaking. Night skiing, ski school, rentals and half-day tickets are available.

• Quoggy Joe Ski Center

  Quaggy Jo Ski Center offers 8 beginner and intermediate trails with 175 feet of vertical elevation and a 600 foot tow rope.

• Saddleback Ski Area

  Saddleback offers a 4,120 foot summit, 60 trails, 5 lifts (2 doubles, 1 quad, 2 surface lifts), a 2,000 foot vertical and over 85% snowmaking. The resort features include ski school, ski shop, rentals, terrain park, half pipe, base lodge, food court, pub, day care, and on-mountain lodging. Of special note are the views of the surrounding Rangeley Lakes from several of the trails.

• Seacoast Snow Park

  This five-acre terrain park offers a 100-foot vertical and 80% snowmaking. Other features include night skiing, a base lodge, sports lounge, an arcade, ski school and rentals.

• Shawnee Peak

  Shawnee Peak offers a 1,300-foot vertical, 99% snowmaking and New England’s largest night-skiing facility. Ski school, ski shop, rentals, snowboarding, lounge/restaurant, outside deck and day care are also available.

• Sugarloaf/USA

  Sugarloaf Mountain features a 4,265-foot elevation, a 2,820-foot vertical and 94% snowmaking. Resort features include boundary to boundary skiing, ski school, ski shops, alpine park, half-pipe, health club with indoor pool, alpine village with shops and restaurants, on-mountain lodging, child care and above-treeline snowfields.

• Sunday River

  The Sunday River resort covers eight mountain peaks, with a vertical of 2,340 feet and 92% snowmaking. Other features include boundary-to-boundary skiing, glade skiing, snowboard park, ski school, ski shops, rentals, 3 base lodges, 1 summit lodge, restaurants, day care and slopeside lodging.

• Titcomb Mountain

  Titcomb mountain features a 340-foot vertical and 75% snowmaking. Other features include night skiing, a base lodge with a large brick fireplace, sundeck, rentals, ski school and a racing program.
