Ferry Beach / Western Beach

The western side of Prouts Neck in Scarborough is home to two white sand beaches—Ferry Beach and Western Beach—that together stretch for nearly a mile near the mouth of the Scarborough River and the Scarborough Marsh Wildlife Management Area. Ferry Beach has some protection from ocean waves because of the jetty located on the other side of the Scarborough River Channel. Western Beach slopes gently to the water and is ideal for wading and beachcombing. You can relax in the sun, swim, play and enjoy the views of Pine Point across the channel. These beaches do not have lifeguards.
