Kennebunk Beach in Kennebunk—which includes three distinct beach areas—has almost a mile of oceanfront. Tucked into the rocks south of Lords Point is Mother’s Beach, a sandy pocket beach about 750 feet long. It has a lifeguard, playground and restrooms. Parking is limited. Just to the north is Middle Beach, which has nearly a quarter mile of black pebbly beach. A sidewalk extends along the seawall at the road’s edge, which is lined with summer cottages and hotels. Farther along is the main and most popular beach area, called Gooch’s Beach. Here you'll find a crescent of fine sand more than 3,300 feet long. Lifeguards are on duty in high summer and this beach has restrooms.
Parking is by permit for all three beach areas. Parking permits are available at the Kennebunk Chamber of Commerce, Town Hall and the Police Department.
