Isle au Haut (Robinson Point) Light

X

Built in 1907, the Robinson Point Lighthouse Station is a 48-foot brick tower at the sea's edge. It is connected by a wooden walkway that extends slightly inland to the keeper's house, which is now an inn. You can stay at the main house or at one of the inn's separate cottages. Frommers has rated the inn as one of the world's "10 Untouched Island Escapes," as the island is off the power grid. You can also view the light by boat with Guided Island Tours, Isle au Haut Ferry Service, Old Quarry Ocean Adventures and by air with Penobscot Island Air. Isle Au Haut Light is part of the Deer Isle Lighthouse Trail.
