Bring a picnic and take the ferry from Richmond Village (or use your own watercraft!) to Swan Island where you can appreciate the Steve Powell Wildlife Management Area. With abundant wildlife including migrating waterfowl, wild turkeys, white-tailed deer, and bald eagles. There are four miles of trails and camping available. It is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
